Abstract
Universities are ordinarily supposed to be the power house for the generation of ideas, knowledge and skills that should positively national impact development. Unfortunately, context of on Ill the Nigeria’s university education the contrary is the situation. This position takes a cursory look at the factors that have made university education be described as a foiled attempt in national developmental striving.
