Abstract
Education is an engine for growth and progress of any society, its administration cannot be taken for granted if its goals must be achieved. Leadership is the most important determinant of the success of the school organization. This is because it is the leader who directs the affairs of the school organization. So the administrative effectiveness of the school is determined by leadership attributes variables. What then are the leadership attributes variables that affect the administrative effectiveness of Nigerian schools? This paper therefore, examined the place of education and teachers, the conceptual dialectics and the leadership attribute variables as factors that influence administrative effectiveness in Nigerian schools. These attributes variables include; proprietorship, gender (sex), academic qualification and years of work experiences. This paper concludes with some recommendations which are necessary for administrative effectiveness in Nigerian schools.
