The study adopted a survey research design; observation and questionnaire were used as an instrument for data collection. The population of the study was 427, which targeted the entire staff 21 and 406 students of the Department of Arabic, Faculty of Arts, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Eighty-five (85) students were randomly selected through simple random sampling technique. Data were analyzed descriptively using frequency count, percentage. The finding revealed that the available e-resources are e-books, online dictionary, and translators for Arabic. Others are links to various websites learning Arabic accessing e-resources and e-journals. It further revealed that staff and students were not aware of the available e-resources in the department. The principal tool for current awareness services used in the department was a billboard, SMS, email, and WhatsApp. The reasons behind the low-use of digital Arabic resources were inadequate ICT facilities such as computer and internet connectivity (wireless Wi- Fi), erratic power supply, lack of information, and computer literacy skills. The study recommended that the Arabic Department of ABU Zaria should adequately subscribe to online databases; acquire more digital and media Arabic resources. The study further recommends that there is a need for the Department of Arabic to improve on the current awareness services to ensure that users are adequately notified of the new arrival of digital Arabic information resources.
