The great majority are annuals inhabiting temperate * -ones ant trees which are extremely rare. Hyptis suaveolens is used in northern Nigeria jot tne treatment of fever as well as pains related to the ailment. Its antiinflammatory action against egg albumin-induced hind Paw Oedema was tested in rats. The result were expressed as mean ± standard error of mean. The student t - test as used to analysed level of statistical significance, between groups.and ANOVA among groups. P> 0.05 for tail flick the values of this finding are discussed.
