dc.description.abstractThis study examined the relationship of cognitive and cultural variables and attitudes of university students towards entrepreneurship education in Nasarawa State University Keffi. The study focused on variables such as self-efficacy creativity value orientation, beliefs and moral belief Three research questions were generated and three null hypotheses were also formulated. Correlation research design was used. The population of the study was 104,953 students and a sample size of 400 university students were selected using Research Advisor (2006) statistical table for determining sample size. The researcher developed questionnaire for data collection titled Cognitive and Cultural Variables and Entrepreneurship Education Questionnaire (CCVEEQ). To determine the validity of the instrument, it was subjected to critical appraisal by experts. To ascertain the reliability of the instrument a reliability Test was conducted using Chronbach alpha, a reliability coefficient 0.85 was generated. Data were collected and analyzed using mean and standard deviation to answer the research questions and Pearson product moment correlation to test the hypotheses at 0.085 level of significance. The major findings were that cultural beliefs, self efficacy and value orientation have significant relationship on attitude of university Students towards entrepreneurship education. Based on the findings, it was recommended that psychologists and guidance counsellors should assist students to adjust their level of thinking so as to be greater performers at entrepreneurial classes. It was also recommended that Counselors and non-governmental organizations should organize workshops to enable students believe in their own ability to succeed after school with entrepreneurship education.en_US
