Abstract
A teacher is a bridge that makes teaching and learning effective. The teacher is thus, the builder whose achievement depends on adequate qualification, experience and teaching method. This adequate knowledge, experience, qualification and teaching method could be attained or achieved by acquiring additional knowledge that will stimulate his/her communication in teaching for efficiency. This study assessed the Economics teachers' characteristics as correlate of senior secondary school students academic achievement in Economics in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Nigeria.
