dc.description.abstract | The study investigated the difference in antisocial behavior exhibited among secondary school students in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. The subjects are 352 secondary school pupils drawn from four secondary schools, two private schools and two public schools, 88 participants from each school. They were made up of 176 boys and 176 girls. There Age ranging between 12 and 20 years. Two hypotheses were tested. The first was that there will be a significant difference in the rate of antisocial behavior between public and private school children. While the second hypothesis was that, there will be significant correlation between male and female on the antisocial behavior. The results obtained revealed that the public school subjects exhibited higher ability to engaged in antisocial act than the private school subjects on the measures of delinquency trait scale. The differences between the two groups were statistically significant, (t= 2.10 was greater than observed t= 1.98 with df=i50 at P<o.o5. ' Thus, the first research hypothesis that there is difference in antisocial behavior of two different schools was therefore upheld. Further analysis revealed that gender contributed significantly in the majority of antisocial behavior in the study sample. | en_US |
