Abstract

This paper assessed the Bioclimatology and Human Comfort in the tropics. These include the bio-meteorological/climatological variables such as (air temperature, air humidity, precipitation, wind speed, long and short wave radiation) and Human Comfort in the tropical environment. The study demonstrated the importance and potential in evaluating human comfort. The human comfort conditions were examined and found that the microclimatic characteristics have dominant effect on the health, energy balance and comfort of human body. The subjectivity of human body to various kinds of stress is mainly due to the alteration of the surface structure triggering urban heat and changes in radiation, precipitation and humidity fluxes.
