Female students reading Islamic studies often found themselves facing some challenges range from proficiency in Arabic and English language to effective knowledge of the Qur'an. Proper understanding of Islam requires a good knowledge of Arabic language taking cognizance of the fact that both the Qur'an and the Hacfrth which form the basis of Islamic law are written in Arabic..The Qur'an stands as the medium of understanding the Sharfah while English is the language of communication in Nigeria, hence the importance of having a working knowledge of Arabic, English and Qur'an in the field of Islamic studies in Nigeria cannot be over emphasized. Most female students find themselves deficient in one, two or all of these elements. That is the problem this article seeks to address. Both empirical and documented sources shall be utilized in the course of research work meanwhile data gathered shall be analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methods. At the end of the studies conclusion and recommendation shall be drawn based on the results of the data analysis.en_US
