dc.description.abstract | The study determined relationship between teachers' conditions of service and their job effectiveness in senior secondary schools in Nasarawa state. The study adopted descriptive survey research design. The population of the study consisted of 2605 teachers from 94 secondary schools in Nasarawa state. The sample for investigation consisted of 405 teachers from 19 secondary schools through multistage sampling procedure. The instrument used for data gathering was “Teacher's Conditions of Service and Job Effectiveness Questionnaire" (TCSJEQ). The validity index of 0.68 was obtained for the instrument and reliability of 0.78 using Cronbach coefficient Alpha. All the responses from the completed copies of the questionnaire forms were collected coded and analyzed. Descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation were used to answer research questions while Pearson Product Correlation Moment Abstract (PPMC) statistical was used for testing the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. | en_US |
