| dc.description.abstract | Clitoridectomy is the painful removal of female genitalia which comes in differentfonns and magnitude depending on the society religion andcountiy. It involves the harmful traditional practice of female genital removal which has an adverseds effect on the girl child in the nearby future. Female genital mutilation comes with a lot of negative consequences like HIV/AIDS, painful intercourse and probably death. If women are to be considered as equal and responsible members of the society, no aspect of their physical psychological or sexual integration can be compromised. This study therefore used secondary data to demonstrate the fact that the harmful traditional practice destroys the integrity of the womanhood and therefore needs to be abolished. | en_US |
