dc.description.abstractGenerally in the whole world, particularly in Nigeria, education has been considered to be the corner - stone for development. In higher education, Corrupt practices are also those behavioural practices that tend to break certain moral or social codes of conduct, administrative rule or procedures which hinder the effective management of higher education in achieving its aims and objectives. This paper emphasize on the effective management of corrupt practices in the administration of higher education. However, some factors affect the effective management of corrupt practices in the administration of higher education in Nigeria such as irregular payment of salaries, poor funding, social factors and poor incentives. This paper recommends regular payment of salaries, improved funding, sensitizing the public and improved incentives in managing corrupt practices in the administration of higher education in Nigeria.en_US
