    RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CREATIVITY AND INTELLIGENCE ON PERFORMANCE OF ECONOMICS STUDENTS OF SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN BENUE STATE, NIGERIA

    The study investigated the relationship between creativity and intelligence on performance of Economics students of secondary schools in Benue State, Nigeria. Three research questions and three hypotheses guided 377 were used as a sample size of the study. Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT) and Standardized IQ test (Scores from Economics examinations) were used as instruments for data collection. The TTCT and Standardized IQ were validated and pilot tested, which yielded 0.79, 078 validity indexes or TTCT and Standardized IQ. In addition, the reliability indexes of 0.76 and 0.79 for TTCT and Standardized IQ. Mean and standard deviation was used to answer research question, Pearson’s correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis was used for testing hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed that, there is no significant relationship between creativity, performance of students offering Economics, there is a significant relationship between intelligence and performance of students offering Economics, and there is a significant relationship between creativity, intelligence and performance of students offering Economics secondary schools in Benue State. The study recommended that, schools should incorporate creative teaching strategies, organize workshops for teachers, and adopt comprehensive assessment methods to evaluate both intelligence and creativity, promoting a broader approach to academic excellence in Economics.

    EFFECT OF FLIPPED CLASSROOM STRATEGY ON SOCIAL STUDIES ACHIEVEMENT OF STUDENTS IN SANGA LGA, KADUNA STATE, NIGERIA

    The study investigated the effect of flipped classroom strategy on achievement of Social Studies students in Sanga LGA, Kaduna State, Nigeria. Two research questions and two hypotheses guided the study. The study used Quasi- experimental research design. The population of the study comprises of all 6,234 JSS students in Sanga LGA, and 140 JSS II students offering Social Studies were used a sample size of the study. The instrument for data collection entitled ‘‘Social Studies Achievement Test (SOSAT)’’. Experts validated the SOSAT, the logical rating yielding 0.78 validity index and 0.79 reliability index. The SOSAT was administered and the data generated was analyzed using mean and standard deviation to answer research questions, while ANCOVA was used for testing the hypotheses at the 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed that there is a significant deference in the Social Studies using flipped classroom strategy and those taught using conventional classroom strategy, and there is a significant deference in the achievement mean scores of male and female students taught Social Studies using flipped classroom strategy and those taught using conventional classroom strategy. The study concluded that flipped classroom strategy had more effects in gaining high achievement in Social Studies among male and female students. It was recommended that Social Studies teachers should apply the use of flipped classroom strategy to teach the students, and Kaduna State Ministry of Education should organize a training workshop on the application of flipped classroom strategy to equip teachers.achievement mean scores of students taught

    TESTS, EXAMINATION ANXIETY AND STRESS ON ECONOMETRICS PERFORMANCE OF STUDENTS IN NORTH CENTRAL STATES UNIVERSITIES, NIGERIA

    The study investigated tests, examination anxiety and stress on econometrics performance of students in north central states universities, Nigeria. Two research questions and two null hypotheses guided the study. The study utilised descriptive survey research design. The population of the study comprises of all 9, 700 students offering econometrics at the North Central State University 2023-2024 academic season, and 400 students that offering econometrics were utilized as a sample size of the study. Google Form Questionnaire on Test, Examination Anxiety and Stress (GFQTEAS) was used as tools for data collection contained 33 items anchored on five Points Likert Scale. The GFQTEAS validated, which yielded 0.77 validity index, and 0.78 reliability index. GFQTEAS was administered (shared) via WhatsApp, data generated was analysed using mean, and standard deviation to answer research question and One-Way ANOVA was used for testing hypotheses at the 0.05 level of significant. The findings revealed that, there is a significant impact of examination, tests anxiety and stress on students’ academic performance in Econometrics, and there is significant impact of examination, tests anxiety and stress on male and female students’ academic performance in Econometrics. The study recommended that schools should introduce stress- management workshops and counseling sessions for students, focusing on gender differences. Econometrics Lecturers should promote inclusiveness and use group assignments or peer mentoring to reduce anxiety and continuous assessment methods, such as assignments and quizzes, can help manage anxiety effectively.

    RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STRESS AND TEXTS ANXIETY ON PERFORMANCE OF ECONOMICS STUDENTS IN KANO STATE, NIGERIA

    The study investigated the relationship between stress and texts anxiety on performance of Economics students in Kano State, Nigeria. Two research questions with its corresponding hypotheses guided the study. A correlational research design was adopted. Population of all 7,333 students offering Economics from 17 public secondary school in Kano State, Nigeria, and 365 students offering Economics were as a sample size of the study. Stress Questionnaire (SQ) and Anxiety Questionnaire (AQ) was used as instruments anchored on five pints Likert scale. SQ and AQ were validated which gave 0.77, 075 validity indexes and 0.77 and 0.76 reliability indexes.The SQ and AQ ware administered and data collected was analyse using Pearson’s correlation coefficient (r) to answer the research questions while regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses at the 0.05 level of significant. Finding revealed that here is significant relationship between stress and students' academic performance in Economics and there is significant relationship between test anxiety and students' academic performance in Economics. the study recommended that, schools should enhance students' academic performance by addressing factors like teaching quality, study environments, and socio-economic challenges, offering counseling services, mentorship programs, and innovative teaching methods.

    EFFECT OF HEURISTIC TEACHING APPROACH ON SOCIAL STUDIES ACHIEVEMENT OF UPPER BASIC II STUDENTS IN KARU LGA NASARAWA STATE, NIGERIA

    The study investigated the effect of the Heuristic Teaching Approach (HTA) on the Social Studies achievement of upper basic II students in Karu LGA of Nasarawa State, Nigeria. Two (2) research questions and its hypotheses guided the study. Quasi- experimental research design was employed, and upper basic II students were used as sample size of the study. The Social Studies Achievement Test (SOSEAT) was used as a data collection instrument. The SOSEAT was validated which yielding 0.82 validity index and 0.82 reliability index. The SOSEAT was administered and the data generated was analyzed using mean and standard deviation to answer research questions, while ANCOVA to test the null hypotheses at the 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed that students exposed to HTA performed better than their counterpart students in CTM), and there is a significant difference in the achievement mean scores of males and females students exposed to HTA, and that of counterpart male and female students in CTM. It was concluded that students HTA achieved higher than male and female students in CTM. Based on the findings, it was recommended that Social Studies teachers HTA to teach, and trained on the application of HTA should organize by the authority of schools to improve students' academic progress in the subject.

    RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STRESS MANAGEMENT AND TEACHERS’ JOB EFFECTIVENESS IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN NORTH CENTRAL STATES OF NIGERIA

    The study assessed the relationship between stress management and teachers' job effectiveness in secondary schools in North. One research question with corresponding objective and hypothesis was generated to guide the study. The study was guided by correlational survey research. The population of the study consisted of 43,271 teachers. The sample size of this study consisted of 4,324 respondents. Self-designed questionnaire that consisted of 14 items was used for data collection. The instrument yielded 0.80 as the logical validity index and 0.75 as coefficient of internal consistency. Descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation were employed to answer the research questions while Pearson’s product moment correlation was used to test the hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study showed that there is a significant relationship between management of physical stress relates to teachers’ job effectiveness in secondary schools in North Central States of Nigeria. The study recommended that there is need for every state government in North Central Geopolitical Zone of Nigeria to employ additional teachers as school enrolment increases in order to ensure that teachers are assigned with less teaching responsibilities so that the physical stresses they encounter due to much workload could be avoided to enhance their effectiveness in performing their assigned responsibilities.

    POLITICS AND PRINCIPALS’ ADMINISTRATION IN PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN NASARAWA STATE, NIGERIA FOR BETTER PRACTICES AND GOAL ACHIEVEMENT

    The study examined Politics and Principals' Administration in Public Secondary Schools in Nasarawa State, Nigeria for better practices and goal achievement. Two (2) research questions with corresponding objectives and two (2) null hypotheses were generated to guide the study. The study was guided by descriptive survey research. The population comprised 6529 principals and teachers. The sample for the study was 653 principals and teachers using simple random sampling technique. Self designed structured questionnaire was used for data collection. Descriptive Statistics of Mean and Standard Deviation was used to answer the research questions. The null hypotheses were tested using chi-square at 0.05 level of significance. One of the findings among others revealed thatpolitics has a significance influence on the provision of adequate funds in Public Secondary School in Nasarawa State, Nigeria and it was recommended among others that efforts should be made by school principals in conjunction with the Stakeholders such as traditional and community leaders to ensure that politicians within the localities where secondary schools are sited are lobbied and so that they can positively influence decisions of the state government with regards to school funding.

    Relationship between Motivation and Teachers’ Job Performance in Public Secondary Schools in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria.

    The study examined relationship between motivation and teachers' Job performance in public secondary schools in Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Nigeria. Three (3) research Questions were raised with corresponding three (3) objectives and three (3) null hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. /\ cross sectional'.survey research design was used. The population of the study was 2499 teachers from 186 public secondary schools distributed within the six (6) education districts. The sample size was 239 using simple random sampling technique. One self designed structure questionnaire was used for data titled “relationship between motivation and teachers' Job performance" (RBMTJP), Validation of the instrument was done with validity index of 0.79. The coefficient of internal consistency of 0.83 was obtained after pilot testing the instrument. Descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation was used to answer the research questions while pearsons' product moment correlation coefficient (r) (PPMCC) wns used to test hypotheses 1-3 at 0.05 level of significance. One of the findings of the study revealed that there wns a significant relationship between recognition and teachers' job performance in public secondary schools in Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Nigeria. One of the recommendations of the study wns that, all school administrators should provide an avenue for recognizing teachers' effort at work place in order to ensure better job performance in public secondary schools in Federal Capital Territory Abuja.     RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PRINCIPAL'S LEVEL OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND CONFLICT MANAGEMENT IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN NIGER STATE

    The study assessed the relationship between principals' level of emotional intelligence and conflict management in secondary schools in Niger State. The study was guided by three objectives with corresponding three research questions and hypotheses. The study was guided by Mixed Model of Emotions by Goleman (1998), Bar-On Theory of Emotional Intelligence (1997) and Conflict Process Theory by Goldman (1966). The research design used for this study was the correlational survey research design. The total population of the study consisted of 2890 teachers. The sample size of the study consisted of 914 respondents. The instrument used for data collection was the 'Relationship between Principal's Level of Emotional Intelligence and Conflict Management (TQRPLEICM). The instrument was duly validated and it yielded 0.64 as logical validity index. The instrument was pilot tested and the coefficient of internal consistency of 0.70 was obtained. Descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while Pearson's product moment correlation was used to test all the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study indicated that there is a significant relationship between principal's level of self-awareness and conflict management in secondary schools in Niger State, there was a significant relationship between principal's level of social-awareness and conflict management in secondary schools in Niger State and there was a significant relationship between principal's level of empathy and conflict management in secondary schools in Niger State. The study made three recommendations based on the findings. One of the recommendations of the study was that the Niger State Ministry of Education should organize regular training for principals through seminars and conferences to boost the level of their self-awareness component of emotional intelligence to help them become effective conflicts managers of their various secondary schools in the state.

    IMPACT ASSESSMENT OF TEACHER'S TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS ON CLASSROOM EFFECTIVENESS IN PUBLIC SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN NORTH CENTRAL NIGERIA

    This study investigated impact assessment of teacher's time management skills on classroom effectiveness in public senior secondary schools in North Central Nigeria. Two research questions with its corresponding hypotheses guided the study. The study employed descriptive survey design, the population of the study consist all 14,111 teachers from public senior secondary schools in the North Central State in Nigeria and 550 teachers were used as a sample of the study through lottery method of simple random sampling techniques. The instrument for data collection entitled “Teachers Time Management Inventory Skills (TTMIS) was used for data collection. TTMIS was validated which gave 0.82 validity index and 0.79 reliability index. TTMIS was administered by the researchers and data collected were analyzed, using descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation to answered research question while pair t- test was used to test hypotheses at 0.05 level of significant. The finding revealed that, there is a significant impact between teachers' time management skills and classroom managerial effectiveness and there is no significant impact of time management skills on male and female teachers' ability to deliver instruction in North Central State of Nigeria. Based on the findings of this study, the following are recommended: To ensure that teachers apply time management skills in their daily routine, school management should design and apply some instrument for periodical appraisal of teachers' time management skills based on achievement and teachers’ are encouraged to adopt the time management skill of setting time limit for each activity in the management of students' classroom behavior; so as to increase their classroom managerial effectiveness among others.

    Principals’ Instructional Supervisory Roles and Teachers’ Job Performance in Public Secondary Schools in Ekiti State, Nigeria

    The study assessed the principals' supervisory roles and teachers' job performance in public secondary schools in Ekiti State. Two objectives with corresponding two research questions and hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. The correlational survey research design was used for the study. A sample size of693 teachers was selected from a population of6936 using the multistage and simple random sampling techniques. The researchers' self-designed questionnaire that consisted of 12 items was used for data collection. The instrument is titled "Teachers' Questionnaire on Principals' Instructional Supervisory Roles and Teachers' Job Performance (TQPISRTJP). The instrument was duly validated and it yielded 0.86 as the index of rational validity. Cronbach Alpha was employed to determine the reliability of the instrument and it yielded 0.76 as the coefficient of internal consistency. Descriptive statistics of means and standard deviations were used to answer the research questions while Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study indicated that there was a significant relationship between the principals' role of classroom observation and teachers' job performance in public secondary schools in Ekiti State and there was a significant relationship between the principals' role of staff evaluation and teachers' job performance in public secondary schools in Ekiti State. The study recommended that the Ekiti State Ministry of Education needs to organize workshops, conferences, symposia and seminars for principals to enable them acquire the requisite knowledge and skills needed for classroom observation of teachers by identifying their teaching weaknesses and develop strategies for teachers to overcome the weaknesses and perform their job effectively. The study also recommended that the Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission needs to mandate every principal to submit the outcome of the staff evaluation exercise on yearly basis to the commission to ensure that principals undertake the exercise judiciously with a high level of commitment as such effort would help the commission to use the results of the evaluation and organize training programmes to improve the job performance of underperforming teachers.

    INFLUENCE OF MICRO-POLITICAL DIMENSIONS AND INTEREST GROUPS ON EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT IN NIGERA

    This paper examined influence of micro-political dimensions and interest groups on educational management. The paper in its theoretical framework discussed politics and education during the second republic (1979-1983) in Nigeria, educational provision in the 1979 constitution. The effects of politics on educational programmes, education and the economy during the second republic, the political group, the bureaucrats, contractors within party members parents and other associations, it also highlighted suggestions for the next millennium. The paper concluded that most of the current problems affecting the nation's education system have their roots anchored in the second republic administration system. Based on this conclusion, the paper suggested that the current republic should study the second republic procedures and procedures of its administration and the politicians attitude and learn from the for better management approach towards the next millennium.

    Financial Management Practices of Principals and Implementation of Education Laws in Secondary Schools in Nasarawa State~

    This study examined the financial management practices of principals and implementation of education laws of secondary'schools in Nasarawa State. Three (3) research questions and three (3) hypotheses were formulated and tested for the study. It adopted descriptive survey design. The Population sample of the study was Teachers and students representing I2%_of_the total Population were sampled from three southern districts using stratified random sampling. The structured questionnaire developed by the researchers was used to collect data for the study. The instrument used for the data collection of the study was a modified four point-Likert- type questionnaire of Strongly Agreed (SA), Agree (A), Disagree (D) and Strongly Disagree (SD). Frequency count and percentage were used to analyze the three research j questions, while Chi-square test was used to test the three hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed that use of education law has a significant impact on principals procurement fund of secondary schools in Nasarawa state and use of education law has influence on principals utilization of funds for national cohesion and education laws has significant impact on principals financial record keeping practices of secondary schools in Nasarawa State. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended that government should allocate sufficient funds for the management of school. Also there should be sanction of school administrators involves in the acts for national cohesion.

    Teacher Commitment and Students’ Academic Achievement in Nasarawa State Secondary Schools, Nigeria

    The study assessed the ‘influence of teacher commitment and students’ academic achievement in Nasarawa State secondary schools. The study was guided by three objectives with three research questions and hypotheses. The research design used for this study was the cross-sectional survey research design. The total population of the study consisted of 5605 subjects obtained from all the 253 public secondary schools in Nasarawa State. The sample size of the study was obtained using census sampling technique and it consisted of 1096 respondents. The researcher’s self- developed instrument called “Questionnaire on Teacher Commitment and Students’ Academic Achievement (QTCSAA)” was used for data collection. The instrument was validated and it yielded 0.75 as the validity index. The instrument was pilot tested on 20 teachers and the reliability index of 0.70 was obtained. Descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while Chi-square statistic was used to test all the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The major findings of the study indicated that The findings of hypothesis one in table 6 indicated1 that teacher workload has low significant influence on students’ academic achievement in Nasarawa State secondary schools, there is a low a significant influence of health care services on students’ academic achievement in Nasarawa State secondary schools and teacher workload has low significant influence on students’ academic achievement in Nasarawa State secondary schools. The study recommended among others that the the Nasarawa Ministry of Education should empoy more teachers to match with the number of students to avoid the issue of allocating more workload to teachers that prevent them from being committed in undertaking their assigned responsibilities diligently to improve the academic achievement of students in secondary schools in the state.

    Relationship between Human Resource Management and Teachers’ Job Performance in FCT Secondary Schools Abuja

    The study assessed the relationship between ‘human resource management and teachers’ job performance in FCT secondary schools Abuja. The study was guided by four objectives with four research questions and hypotheses. The research design used for this study was the cross-sectional survey research design. The total population of the study consisted of 4,014 teachers obtained from all the public secondary schools in Abuja. The sample size of the study was obtained using census sampling technique and it consisted of 983 respondents. The researcher’s self-developed instrument called ‘Questionnaire on the Human Resource Management and Teacher Job Performance (QHMTJP) was used for data collection. The instrument was validated and it yielded 0.68 as the validity index. The instrument was pilot tested on 20 teachers and the reliability index of 0.75 was obtained. Descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while Pearson’s product moment correlation was used to test all the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance.

    TEACHERS’ PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND STUDENTS’ ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT IN PUBLIC SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS OF NORTH CENTRAL STATES, NIGERIA

    The study focused on the assessment of the Teachers' Professional Development and Students' Academic Achievement in Public Senior Secondary Schools of North Central States, Nigeria. The study was guided by three research questions with the corresponding three objectives and three hypotheses. The research design used for this study was the descriptive survey research design. The population of the study consisted of 45, 922 subjects. The sample size of the study consisted of 4305 respondents. The researcher's self-developed instrument that consisted of 32 items was used for data collection. The instrument was duly validated and it yielded 0.83 as a logical validity index. The instrument was pilot tested on 50 staff and the coefficient of internal consistency of 0.79 was obtained. Descriptive statistics of mean, standard deviation and simple percentage were used to answer the research questions while Pearson's product moment correlation was used for testing the hypotheses. The major findings of the study indicated that there is a low significant relationship between workshops and conferences and students' academic achievement in public senior secondary schools in North Central States, Nigeria, there is a low significant relationship between mentoring and students’ academic achievement in public senior secondary schools in North Central States, Nigeria and there is a low significant relationship between induction course and students' academic achievement in public senior secondary schools in North Central States, Nigeria. The study recommended among others that various state ministries of education in the North Central of Nigeria should set aside special funds to organize workshops and sponsor teachers for conferences to help them acquire additional skills and knowledge on the modern teaching techniques and strategies that will help them to teach the students effectively to improve their academic achievement.

A sample of 240 students (131 males and 109 female) were selected from a population of 13605 (8199 males and 5406 females) using multi- stage sampling technique. Influence of Peer Pressure on Secondary School Students’ Moral (IPPSSSMB) was the instrument used. The instrument was validated by some experts in the Faculty of Education, Adamawa State University, Mubi. The index of reliability was determined using Cronbach’s alpha. The Cronbach’ alpha Coefficient was 0.84.One research question and a corresponding research hypothesis guided the study and tested at .05 level of significance. Data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics (frequencies and percentage) for demographic characteristics of respondents and to answer research question. Chi- Square was used to test hypothesis. The finding shows that; Peer pressure has significant negative influence on moral behaviour of Secondary school students. Based on the findings, it was recommended among others that parents should have a closer relationship with their secondary school students and lay more emphasis on their moral life.

    INFLUENCE OF CHILD LABOUR ON ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTOF JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS’ IN KOKONA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF NASARAWA STATE, NIGERIA

    This study investigated the influence of Child Labour on academic achievement of Junior Secondary School Student’ in Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Nigeria. Descriptive survey research design was adopted and 12 secondary schools with 200 students were selected randomly. Two research instruments were used for data collection: one was a proforma designed by the researchers to harvest data on students’ attendance and academic achievement and another was a questionnaire to identify students exposed to child labour activities. Three research questions with three correspondence hypotheses were raised for the study. Data collected were analyzed using simple percentage and t-test statistics. The results of analysis revealed that students that were not exposed to child labour attend deviation classes regularly than those that were exposed to child labour; also students that were not exposed to child labour outperform those that were exposed to child labour irrespective of gender. The researchers recommended that there should be a stiff law preventing absenteeism in schools and schools should intensify awareness campaign through Parent Teachers Association (PTA) meetings on the negative influence of child labour on students’ academic achievements.

    This study investigated impact of child hawking on academic performance of students in secondary schools in Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State. Two research questions guided the study and two hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. Descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study comprised 1483 teachers from 67 secondary schools in Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State. A sample of 250 teachers was used for the study. Simple random sampling technique was used to select the sample size for this study. A 10-item structured four-point scale questionnaire titled “Child Hawking Questionnaire (CHQ) collection. Data obtained from the field study were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions, while the Chi-square (x2) test of goodness of-fit was used to test the null hypotheses. The findings indicated that child hawking has significant adverse impact on students’ study habits and students’ participation in class activities in secondary schools in Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State.     TEACHERS' QUALIFICATION AND STRATEGIES FOR IMPROVING FEMALE STUDENTS' PARTICIPATION IN SCIENCE IN KATSINA STATE, NIGERIA

    This study investigated science teachers' qualification and strategies for improving female students'level of participation in science in senior secondary schools in Katsina State, Nigeria- All the science teachers in eighteen randomly selected public secondary schools participated //= the study. Three instruments were designed to collect data. They are: Science Enrollment Questionnaire (SEQ), Teachers' Qualification Questionnaire (TQQ), Female Students" Participation and Performance Intervention Strategies Questionnaire (FPPISQ). The reliability coefficient the installments were 0.735, 0.745 and 0.821 respectively. The statistical tools were percentages, frequency counts and bar charts. Results show that the percentage of teachers with professional qualification is 50.7%. The non-professional teachers are 49.3%. The percentage of female teachers teaching the core science subjects is low. It is lowest for physics (4.3%), followed by Chemistry (7.5%) and then Biology (10.5%). Many science teachers suggested "creation of prizes and other forms of encouragements for healthy competition for girls in science as a strategy for improving female participation in science. Other recommendations include: Asking successful female scientists to give talks to female students to serve as role models to them, Conscious attempt by the state government to employ qualified graduate science teachers and ensuring time-to-time monitoring and evaluation of science achievement among female students in Katsina State
