dc.description.abstract | This paper examined the impact of counselling on the study habits and attitude towards school of senior secondary school students in Nasarawa State. Specific indices covered were study habits and attitude to school and academic performance of senior secondary school students. Two hypotheses were formulated. A descriptive survey design was employed. The sample size for the study was three hundred and eightyeight (388) senior secondary schools students. The study also employed chi-square statistics in analysing the data at 0.05 level of significance. Findings revealed that there was significant impact of counseling on the secondary school students' study habits and attitude towards school. The study recommended that since counseling has significant impact on attitude to school and students ’ study habits, the Nasarawa State government should implement and employ qualified counselors and post at least two of such counselors to every secondary schools in the State. | en_US |
