Abstract
Science reporting besieges all sorts of science research discovery in every field of science whether in a laboratory of field which is documented by the media either through print or broadcasting, which is displayed to carry information in solving human problems and providing better ways of doing things. Journalist are people that got formal training in the field of Journalism, equipped with ethics and legal rights on how to go into the society gather information and send it across to the heterogeneous audience with intention of effecting positive impression on them. However, Science reporting apart of exposing the activities of scientists it provides modern gadget that made communication more effective and made feedback actualised in mass communication with the emergence of cell phones and social media. This study is to study Nigeria Media(African Independent Television (AIT) Channel Television, Nigeria Television Authority, (NTA I, Galaxy Television, NTA 2 Lagos, Human Right Radio). Aiming at discovering if these Journalist do consider to engage the activities of Scientist in media running order in form program, panelist discussion, news documentary and four Journalists were interviewed at the course of this study to ascertain how journalist cover scientist invention in Nigeria. Based on the findings it is revealed that media houses do not a lot much time to science programme and the media policy effects the journalist interest in covering science activities. It is recommended that more Journalist should be involve in this field of science reporting which will fill the society with good news of positive steps and provide checks and balances in discovering some hazardous study such as breeding of corona virus before the accident that brought it to the public that took lives and still taking.
