dc.description.abstract | Urbanization, which refers to the expansion in the proportion of a population living in urban areas, is one of the major social transformations sweeping the globe. It represents the movement of people from rural areas to urban areas with population growth equating to urban migration. Therefore, this paper specifically examines the relationship between urbanization or urban life and peoples' religiosity. It also examines how urban life affects peoples' commitment to their respective religion. With the aid of secondary data, the paper concludes that growing urbanization and scientific development, religion instead of losing its relevance are institutionalized especially in our present day contemporary urban areas. | en_US |
