Abstract
The court constitute one of the pillars in the triangular relationship of the criminal justice system. Courts as an institution is the second most prominent component in the administration of criminal justice process (Dambazau, 2012). Court consists of important stage in the process of the administration of criminal justice (Yecho, 2010). Suffice to say that the courts, judicial processes and crime may be considered the crux of criminal justice system for it is within them that pretrial, trial and post-trial motions, petitions, appeals and other processes such as plea bargaining and sentencing occur (Reid, 2000, Chandra, 2019).
