Abstract

Active involvement of youth in rural development and policy planning is an essential mechanism or components in enhancing rural development programmes. This programme was created with the view of truth empowerment, policy and rural development yet, the aims and objectives of the programme was neglected due to bias and lack of effective policy implementation. The study aimed to examine the usefulness of youth involvement in rural development programme. However, the study reveal that five hundred (500) questionnaire was administered to the respondents and collected whereby, the researcher use simple percentages method of data collection and analysis, through which findings of the study were later provide an insight on the general attitudes of youth towards rural development and policy planning programme.
