Abstract
The paper examines the conceptual and theoretical provision of the various forms of legally permissible business operation in Islam. In the light of this, the researchers reviewed some existing literatures and suggest the application of modern technology for the development of Islamic business operation as a solution to the problem of unemployment, poverty alleviation and sustainable development in Nigeria.
