Item Open Access EFFECTIVE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT AS A KEY TO THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF ORGANIZATIONAL GOALS (A STUDY OF FEDERAL MEDICAL CENTRE, KEFFI)(DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION FACULTY OF ADMINISTRATION NASARAWA STATE UNIVERSITY, KEFFI, 2016-11-05) Mohammed, IbrahimThis research work is aimed at examine the effective human resources management as a key to the accomplishment of organizational goals (a case study of Federal Medical Centre Keffi) in order to achieve its aim, sought to know if F.M.C Keffi is effective in human resources management, it identified and analyzed the various means which organization are to practice with respect to human resources in order to achieve organization goal. The study help in answering the research questions put forward for the study. This will involve the computation of percentages and the least square model of regression analysis to be carried out in this study. A total of 70 questionnaires were administered and only 68 questionnaires representing 97% were returned. The finding from the field work revealed that F.M.C Keffi are actually utilizing human resource management effectively to aid them in organizational development, it has been observed that the level of awareness of effective human resources management has impacted positively on organizational development. Since organizational goal can be achieved through effective human resource management, the study recommends, that organizations should encourage effective human resources/manpower planning in order to achieve organizational goals. Organizations and firms in Nigeria should adopt the strategy of effective man power planning and development via training of personnel in their operations.Item Open Access IMPACT OF MICRO-CREDIT ON ENTERPRENURSHIP DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA(Department of Business Administration, Nasarawa State University Keffi, 2020-03-12) Mohammed, IbrahimThe importance of credit to small and medium scale business is to stimulate SME production, and most of these improved implement and seeds are not found in Nigeria and are pretty expensive. Microfinance institutions as a means of resolving financing problems of small and medium scale businesses so as to create wealth, improve standards of living and achieve economy growth and development. The traditional microfinance institutions provide access to credit for the rural and urban, low-income earners. The study seeks to examine the prospects and challenges of microfinance business in Nigeria and identify the role of microfinance bank in wealth creation in the rural areas. Data were collected from sample population 289 small business operators located in FCT-Abuja and the data were subject to analysis. The findings indicate amongst other that microfinance institutions (MFIs) has immensely contributed a lot to the wealth creation and investment in the study area through lending of loans to individual and groups for entrepreneur activities to bring about general increase in the production of goods and services create employment opportunities to the business, attracts foreign investment. The study recommends that MFIs should provide institutional structure for client’s participation in government and management of the institutions.
