    CONTINUING EMPHASIS ON THE GIRL-CHILD EDUCATION IN CONTEMPORARY NIGERIA: AN EDUCATIONAL ABSURDITY FOULING THE NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY AND MORE.

    Irrespective of the fact the Nigeria’s national Policy on Education, Nigeria’s constitution and the Universal Basic Education Programmes and more have given everybody-girl, boy man or woman the ticket to the right to education, there is in this country, an overblown ridiculous emphasis on the girl-child education to the lamentable disfavor of the boy-child that is staying out of education. The authors see the girl-child education emphasis is absurd education and sues for attention in making Nigeria’s education qualitative and functional. There is a clarion call for a national legislation to ensure that children of school age are mandatory forced into the school with established government machinery effectively monitoring the implementation of the child-of-school-age-must-be in school agendum.
