Though, this study set specific objectives to achieve and explored, various Perceptions, conception and view on roles of hijab in economic activities. Also, the study dependent on qualitative research which is based on both Primary and secondary data, such as document, seminars and other relevant sources related to the study. Finally, the study recommends amongst other that, government should improve its loan scheme to micro business owner in order to economically oversees the wellbeing of their business. There are many attempts to curtail the menace which put abortive. This paper aim at finding the solution this problem from the perspective of Islam which is believe to divine that sort all time. The used in caring out the research is historical method where data were collected from both primary and secondary sources, through interview, observations, news from printed and non-printed media as well as Sharia’ah concept of Hirabah and fasad. The study ascertain that the problem of banditry and kidnapping started in southern part of the country and introduced in Northern Nigeria in the recent time around 2012. The paper recommend the used of divine laws, sincerity from both law makers and the perpetrator of the act through justice, and reconciliation in approaching the problem of banditry and kidnapping.Item Open Access PREMARITAL TESTS AMONG THE MUSLIM IN NIGERIA: AN ASSESSMENT OF NASARAWA STATE MUSLIMS UMMAH(Department of Islamic Studies, Nasarawa State University Keffi, 2021-10-21) Aliyu, Ibrahim Musaddad; Aliyu, Umar; Mu'allimu, Aminu Kambari; Adam, Ibrahim Ishaq; Rabo, MaikeffiThe advancement in science and technology has led to the detection of diseases affecting humans, and those which could give room to more diseases if it is not matched with a couple that is not suitable. The level of marriage conducted in Nasarawa State without pre-marital test is becoming alarming. Most couples in Nasarawa State felt disturbed on the issue of pre-marital tests for the fear of a result that could deteriorate their plan of marriage. Hence, most people give preferences to go to a wedding without a pre-marital test. This study assessed pre-marital tests among Muslim couples of Nasarawa State. Being a field survey, the study collected data from both primary and secondary sources. A total of 100 respondents 33 from each of the three senatorial zones were selected through random sampling. A questionnaire was used as the main instrument for data collection. The data collected were analysed using a simple percentage technique. The findings of the study found out that the level of awareness about the significance of pre-marital screening for couples is increasing with few numbers of people disdaining it because of the fear of an unfavourable result that might hinder the planning of their wedding. Based on the findings, it is recommended that an intensive enlightenment campaign onpre-marital testing before marriage should be done by the government and institutions through the media, alongside health education on genetic disease and its prevention right from the primary school level.Item Open Access RELEVANCE OF ISLAMIC ETHICS FOR NIGERIAN MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS(Department of Islamic Studies, Nasarawa State University Keffi, 2019-06-19) Yahaya, Sulaiman; Aliyu, Ibrahim Musaddad; Muhammad, Maishanu AliyuAs part of being a religion of complete code of conduct, Islam is concerned itself with the health of its adherents. The aim of this research is to look at the relevance of Islamic professional rules of conduct for medical practitioners in Nigeria. Some immoral acts are seemingly exhibited by the persons working under medical profession which include illicit affairs among the members who are not married to each other, quack or fake acclaimed medical doctors who engage in surgery for patience. This work is significant in the sense that it serves as a reference material to be consulted for further research and use also it will help the medical professionals to be acquainted with Islamic teaching on their profession and it will create awareness for the workers concerned. The medical professionals should seek knowledge of the Qur’an and Sunnah in order to be updating themselves on Islamic ethics, what they have learnt should be put into practice and Muslim leaders should have a joint forum which would serve as a medium for meeting to discuss ethical matters concerning Islam and it would also be an opportunity for induction of newly employed into the profession.
