This paper sought to assess the effect of women and youths skill acquisition for sustainable development in Samaru area, Sabon Gari Local Government, Kaduna State. The study anchored on the Human Capital Theory uses primary data to solicit responses. Two hypotheses were stated and tested using chi-square in order to measure the level of significance between skill acquisition, poverty reduction and employment generation among women and youths. The study reveals among others, that skill acquisition has significant effect on poverty reduction and employment generation among women and youths of the area of study. The study recommend among the following; that government, non-governmental organizations and philanthropies should assist women and youths with more financial capital to enable them invest in their areas of skills.
