The University is supposed to produce knowledge critical for growth and development of the town-environment. The symbiotic relationship between these two is what this study investigates. The sample survey method was employed while questionnaire as an instrument of data collection was administered on 72 respondents which formed the sample population from Angwan Lambu, BCG and High Court the immediate environment of the University. The study discovered that the establishment of Nasarawa State University has impacted positively on the environment. Though, there are cases oj social vices such stealing, rape, burglary, illicit dressing and the likes.
