Thirty women fish sellers were randomly selected from the two markets. Data collected from them via structured oral interview schedule were analyzed using descriptive statistics and budgetary’ analysis. Results show that an average woman smoked fish retailer made a monthly net return of N20. 740.00. The profitabilitv index, rale of return to investments/variable cost and operating ratio indicated that women fish retailing business is a profitable venture m the short run.
