Socio-economic, political and educational activities have been extremely and positively influenced by the application and integration of ICT. In other ! words, ICT has become a potent platform for transforming society into information knowledge based society. This paper however, examines the significant role of the indication and integration of ICT in the educational sector with particular reference\ tithe teaching and learning of literature in English a core component of the English' Course Curriculum in the polytechnic. The concept of ICT as a global phenomenon in relation to the teaching of literature is discussed. Also, a practical illustration is equally employed using ICT to teach Critical Writing.
