The paper looks at the concept of counseling and those who constitute secondary school dropouts. Reasons for drop out are examined. The paper further highlights the concept of self reliance and the need to expand appropriate counseling frontiers to deal with the issues of the school drop out.enCOUNSELLING FOR SELF-RELIANCE: THE SECONDARY SCHOOL DROP OUTArticle
