Nigeria as an actor in the international system has been experiencing terrorist attacks from “Boko-Haram (Jama’atuhl As-Sunnah Lid-Da\vahWaI-Jihad (Arabic: ajc-di AL-JI lUI 2009 to date. This paper titled “Terrorism and its Implication to Global Peace and Security” - a case study of Boko-Haram in Nigeria and how it affects Socio-Economic development of Nigeria particularly in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria which is the epic centre of Boko-Haram insurgency. This study will further interrogate whether there is a nexus between economic deprivation, poverty, political marginalization and extreme religious indoctrination with the emergence of terrorism in our society today. In attempt to find answer to the aforementioned, i intend to employ the descriptive and analytical method of research. The study will employ further documentary method of data collection, while content analysis and logical induction will be applied to analyse data. To have an academic direction, I intended to apply or use the deprivation theory to understand the cause of terrorism in our society. Lastly, conclusion will be drawn and implementable recommendations will be proffered, so as to achieve a peaceful and stable society. sinceenArticle
