The methodology adopted in this research is the primary and secondary method of gathering data. The population of the study were staff of the First Bank in Abuja and the statistical techniques used in analyzing data is the chi-square technique. The study established that there is significant relationship between employees’ training and development and organizational performance. It also shows that that there is significant relationship between employees’ training and development bank’s profitability and adoption of on-the-job and off-the-job training has also improved the efficiency of bank’s employees.
