The main objective of the study is to assess the performance ofthe new approach to rural development as introduced by the World Bank in conjunction with the federal and Nasarawa State government. The survey research method was deployed in this study. Six local government areas were selected in which 18 rural communities out of 40 selected for the project participated. Questionnaires were administered on 524 respondents out of a sample of540 selected from the rural communities. The study concluded that the Agency has contributed significantly to the development of rural areas in the State.
