This study assessed the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike on the economy of Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. Literature was reviewed thematically while conflict theory was reviewed and adopted for the study. The study adopted survey research design and cluster sampling to select respondents from informal business operators in Keffi. Questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. Descriptive and inferential statistics were the statistical tools used for data analysis. The descriptive statistics involved the use of frequencies and simple percentages while the inferential statistics utilized partial correlation statistics which shows the direction and strength of relationship between the tested variables as well as the significant. One hypothesis was formulated and tested by this study; the result shows a positive and strong relationship between ASUU strike and Keffi economy respectively. The study found that, the incessant strike has severely affects businesses and other economic life negatively in Keffi. The study therefore conclude that, ASUU strike often has negative effect on Keffi economy despite the present of other well-known government institutions both federal and state operating in Keffi.
