The agitation by the South-South region for environmental degradation and neglect by government and Multinational Corporations has led to constant review of the revenue allocation formula. This paper examined the concept of federalism, fiscal federalism and resource control and proffers way’s of commitment by Federal government in dealing with issues for resource control in Nigeria Federalism. The methodology employed in this paper is qualitative materials obtained from secondary sources of data collected and was historically analyzed and conclusions/recommendations was drawn with the following observations which reveals that Federal government is highly favoured in all the revenue allocation system, oil is seen as the major foreign exchange earner for the nation and there is need to re-introduce the derivation principle in the horizontal sharing formula in the country.enFederalism, Resource Control, Fiscal FederalismArticle
