dc.description.abstract | Corruption is a universal problem that exists in both developed and developing countries. Its nature and scope may vary from society to society, and at different times even within the same social system. Based on the profuse nature and character of corruption and fraud in contemporary society, there is need for understanding and appreciation of psychological theories and models of fraud and corruption in society. First, Corruption is an abnormal behavior, it is both overt and covert, i.e. a person who commit fraud, first think about it, reflect about it, and plan for that (this are covert processes) he or she carry out the act i.e., implement the content of his thought (overt behavior).secondly, as an abnormal behavior a person who commit fraud must have been induced by some psychological factors which includes his or her personality, family child upbringing and socialization including the influence of the environment. This psychological model forms the discussion in the analysis of the psychological and models of corruption and fraud which is the focus of this pa per. | en_US |
