dc.description.abstract | Equity financing is of growing importance to the microfinance sector and social investors that provide equityface challenging situations and decisions as they participate in the governance of such microfinance institutions but there is no doubt that these social investors have expanding opportunities to play active governance roles. This study explored the extent to which investors are currently capitalizing on this opportunity.
