dc.description.abstractUniversity entrance presents a number of challenges like developing a sense of autonomy, making new fiends- often people from different backgrounds, challenges in coming to term with one's physical environment, interpersonal relationship, changing roles and so on. All these involve some stress and necessitate new patterns of coping and adaptation. This paper tried to look at the concepts of stress and slessors, pattern of coping and its implications for reproductive health and self-management among students in Nasarawa state university, Keffi. Variables of spatial behaviour and personal constructs were discussed and concluded that, for University students' living to be meaningful, they must develop cognitive mapping abilities. This is hope to enable them acquire general knowledge and skills on reproductive health and self-management issues in Nigerian universities. A recommendation of 'cognito ergo sum' principle of self- development and management was given for the Nigerian university students.en_US
