| dc.description.abstract | Drug abuse is the illegal application and administration of drug without the permission of a qualified medical practitioner for the purpose of deriving satisfaction other than what the substance is meant for. Drug abuse has become a global problem. This paper investigates the effect of drug abuse among Muslim youth in Akwanga L.GA ofNasarawa State and proffer Islamic solution. To direct the study data collection based on quantitative analysis with the aid of frequently distribution table and simple percentages were used. The devices used for data collection was questionnaire. To analyse the data, statistical table op the number of respondents was used. Results from the data analysis showed a significant association of Muslim youths in the study and its advice effect on National security. The research recommends that, to have a society free of drug abuse, Muslim parents should do their best in giving their children the right manner of upbringing in accordance with Islamic principles and serious attention should be giving to control the distribution of illicit substances within the society. Muslim leaders in the community and in the mosque should always include this problem in their Friday sermons in order to discourage Muslimyouths from engaging in drug abuse so as to have a secure society and nation at laig | en_US |
