his study examined the role of Samaru ٠ Dange road maintenance on adjacent environment in north-western part of Nigeria.. Primary and secondary sources were used to elicit for information from respondents. The instrument used for this study was questionnaire. Purposive sampling method was used to administer three copies of questionnaires were administered to house hold heads at home and heads ofbusiness at their places of operations. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyse results. The descriptive statistics include; percentages, cross tabulation and pie chart.
