Abstract

Security and Privacy are the most critical field in the recent years since the advent of information, communication and technology that is eroding the fundamental human right of life,property and privacy, despite the closing the gap and cementing the relationship through quick and fast communication with person leaving very far away through social media These phenomena raise many people concern about the future of the Nigerian. This paper will not dwell on the western culture but Islamic overview of those phenomena, how security and privacy in Islamic remain the paramount issue in the society due to mishandling of social media outlets that is going against the ethic of Islam. The paper shall proper solution to the lingering situation that has abdicated the ethical value of Islam due to the adverse effect of social media and return to decent life as taught by Prophet Muhammad (SAW) base Quran and Hadith.
