Abstract

The study investigated effects of Corporate Governance in the Nigerian Inter-Faith Association. The study found out how good Corporate Governance elements (board size non- executive directors, directors' equity interest and the level of corporate governance disclosure) affect organization performance. The claims by Inter-Faith organizations that Corporate Governance principles are fully practiced as reported in thier annual reports while in terms of performance these organizations seems to perform below the expectation of its stakeholders. The main objective of this study is to examine the effects of corporate Governance on the performance of the Nigerian Inter-Faith Action Association. The researcher used both descriptive and inferential data, collected from secondary source which was From the annual report of the Nigerian Inter-Faith Action Association person correlation regression analysis and t-test statistic was adopted and findings reveals that there is a significant relationship between Board size, directors equity holding and performance. The study recommend that the association should strengthen the momentum of maintaining the board size between 9 to 13 members as this will encourage extensive deliberation on policies before management implementation.
