Abstract

The problems of domestic violence has plagued not only developed societies but it has done more harm to the developing societies perhaps because of the lack of Domestic violence Services in this part of the world. Domestic violence seem to be increasing in terms of its impacts from the micro level to the macro level. One of such areas of impact is in the political sphere. This paper attempts an explanation of the nature of Domestic violence in Nigeria along with its impact in politics. It discusses the link between domestic violence and certain political behaviors. The paper then concluded with some recommendations for the reduction of domestic violence in our society.
