Security is considered as one of the factors responsible for development in any given society. This is the reason why it should not be left in the hands of government alone, it should be a collective responsibility. This paper examines the role played by Nigerian Arabic poets towards development of peace and security in Nigeria. Three scholars are chosen for this purpose; Sheikh Abdullahi bin Fodio, Sheikh Adam Abdullahi Al-Ilory and Dr. Yahuza Ahmad Zaria, representing classical, modern and contemporary poets respectively. The brief biography of each of the poets would be discussed and their poems constructed on peace and security in Nigeria.en_US
