dc.description.abstractThe study examines community participation and poverty reduction in Karu Local Government Area. This study adopted both primary and secondary method of data collection through the instrument of questionnaire and documentary materials. The population involves 232 adult educated male and female. The researcher utilize simple random sampling technique to select the sample population for the study, this is because simple random sampling technique is an unbiased surveying techniques. Findingf rom the study reveals that community participation programme, has help farmer and traders have access loan to Purchase farm equipment for farming and trader have been able to access loan for business. More also, there are social amenities such as schools, hospitals, water, market and event centre provided through Community participation. The study also discovered that, Community participation in Karu Local Government Area has provided rural dweller with rural infrastructural development such as access road network, bridges, market, electricity etc in order to facilities trade, agricultural and business activities. The recommends that, there should be increase in the degree of trust to citizens to their representatives, the government officials must carry out all actions fair to all beneficiaries and avoid mistrust and political party's differences.en_US
