dc.description.abstract | AbstractT his paper seeks to explore the efforts of the Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria (MSSN) in Promoting Unity among the Muslim Youth. The paper surveyed the historical antecedents of the formation of MSSN in Nigeria as well as its programmers and challenges. The paper highlights the initial purpose of forming the organization which is to unite and provide opportunity for the Muslim students who were denied access to modern education by the Christian missionaries. The paper listed some of the activities of the society» towards uniting Muslim youths in particular and Muslim Ummah (community) in general, which includes the weekly meetings, visitation of hospitals, graveyards, assisting the orphans, public lectures to students and communities among others. The study discovers that, the society> was formed in order to bring all Muslims in closer union and inculcate in them the true Islamic spirit of brotherhood and absolute faith in Allah as the only basis for the achievement of peace among mankind. The paper adopts textual and analytical methodology in undertaking the study. The paper recommend tolerance among all religiousfollowers. | en_US |
