Abstract

The project provides an Impact of industrialization on rural development a study of Karu LGA. It clearly explains what rural development is highlighting the basic missions Of rural development policies within the time scope. The project also identified the challenges to successful implementation of the policies pointing out the exclusion of rural dwellers in planning and the imposition of policies on the dwellers as chief among reasons. Availability of education, entrepreneurship, physical infrastructure, and social infrastructure all play an important role in developing rural areas in Nigeria. At the moment, rural development needs to be given right of way. Effective and efficient rural development lies with committed and good leadership, adequate funding and mass community participation of the rural dwellers in implementation, design and execution of rural development programmed. The project concludes by advocating for rural dwellers inclusion in drafting of policies for a holistic rural development that will develop a dynamic system of rural settlements, to foster sustainable economic growth, to promote efficient rural community development, and to ensure improved standards of living for the rural dwellers. Also utilization of local technologies and rural structures for the success of those policies and sustainability.
