| dc.description.abstract | Most often is the case that cultural articles used by or associated with a generation disappear before the next generation, thus creating a cultural vacuum for the next generation. A preliminary investigation of the Nyankpa society tends to suggest that the present generation of Nyankpa people has very little idea about most of the things used by their ancestors to exploit their environment for survival, and ensure security at their location. Attempt establishes the credibility of this claim was guided by three fundamental questions. Firstly, what were some of the tools used by the Nyankpa ancestors to ensure security at their location? Secondly, how did the Nyankpa ancestors domesticate and propagate their crops and other sources of their livelihood? Thirdly, what articles were used for their cultural and ritual purposes? All these possible determinant of the product of this endeavor constituted the focus of this paper. In attempt to get answers to the above questions, Findings from this synthesis showed that the younger the Nyankpa society becomes, the more obscure the ancestral heritage becomes. | en_US |
