dc.description.abstractThis paper examines the role of science and technology education as a panacea for women empowerment. Benefits of science and technology> education for women were discussed and its significance in empowering women for self-reliance and national development highlighted. The type of science curricula required for development were explained as the one that will bridge the gap between theory and practice, as the functional and self-reliant type of education, ways of redirecting the curriculum on a right course in order to improve women education in science and technology to enhance self-reliance and nation building were suggested.en_US
