dc.description.abstractIslam as the only religion accepted by Allah, has put forward ways of resolving issues and crisis in every aspect of life.t Matrimonial life is one of the areas which misunderstanding occurs between the'couples,and that has been attracting so milch concern from the Muslim researchers and Scholars in finding solutions to those problems. The aim of this work is to examine the matrimonial life of the Muslim Umrnah in Yobe North of Yobe State, Nigeria, and the role played by the Imams of Friday Mosque in resolving family problems in the area based on the teaching and guidance of Islam. To achieve these, primary and secondary sources were used for data collection; analytical research method was adopted for the analysis of the collected data. The findings show that, Friday Imams have been exhibiting their efforts to resolve disputes related to matrimonial affairs among the people. The research makes some recommendations to the scholars, government, Muslim Umrnah and general community of the area.en_US
