Abstract

This research is based on the translation of the book “A Harvest of Hatred” by Ismail Abdullahi, from English to Arabic. The research consists of five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction to the research, the second chapter is the literature review on translation, and in the third chapter the researcher mentions the Author’s bibliography and his academic contributions: He is a Nupe, a native of Lapai, Emirate of Niger State. The researchers used the normal method of texts translation which is pragmatic translation. The researcher has presented the main translation of the book in chapter five. The author divided the book in two parts. Under these, are nine short stories each with a scene and a special title. They include: Sundry tale which is a story on the character of Junior, who presents his life and his motherland like a haggard looking women who spent her life with Whitemen in useless; The frontier Island, which focuses on the character of Aminu, as it appeares to him in his dream, the backward nation, and underdeveloped country which appear to him between the imagination and reality, which is compared to the African societies; The swine Island which is the story the author presents as a similar example of Western European Power and the United States and their ways of treating Africans; The story of Death Sentence which bears its characters as Sani and Chuks and the conspiracies that chuks brought between them that led to the death of Sani through the cause of HID/AIDS which is a disease invented by the Westerners for the purpose of reducing African population, especially the Black Nations; The story on the characters of Hassan and his friend Nuhu; A harvest of Hatred which is a story about the characters of Ba-Ahmadu and his brother Ya-Sumanu who are inhabitants of Etizhuru - village, nature of hatred and envy which Ya-Sumanu is presenting between them despite being a Muslim; another story about the characters of Musbau and the members of the union/partly whose thought and aim is to defend the homeland; then The Jungle of Maraya, which consists the characters of Maraya and his parents as his father dies before his birth. The subject matter of this book ,“A Harvest of Hatred ; - Short Stories” is case studies focused on the lives of Africans, the backward Nation, an underdeveloped country and the nature of conspiracies of Westerners and European power operating towards the African population. The nature of hatred, envy, conspiracies behaviors and jealousy, which are rampart in the society. In addition to that complete believe in magic and sorcery
