dc.description.abstractThe article is an appraisal of Pension Reform Act 2014. The contributory pension scheme introduced in 2004 was to ameliorate the suffering experienced by pensioners in the country and to further put to rest the fear hitherto exhibited by the working class. This article briefly examined the problems of the old pension scheme evaluate the performance of the contributory scheme, challenged, achievements and how the present scheme has adhered to improve the welfare of the pensioners in the country.en_US
