EDUCATION DIALOGUE AS A STRONG TOOL FOR PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Nigeria, our beloved country is made up of different communities living together and interacting with one another, peace is therefore an important factor for peaceful coexistence of the people. The absence of peace in any environment dislocates sociopolitical and economic activities of the people.- This paper highlights religious groups found in the country, importance of religious education and dialogue. The paper also discusses how religious education dialogue can be used to enhance peaceful coexistence in the country>. It states conditions for peaceful atmosphere and also the importance and impediments to proper dialogue among various religious groups. It finally suggests ways to .achieve peace in Nigeria.
